Wiredrive’s Workshop Series continued Thursday, June 10, in New York as part of the city’s Internet Week 2010 tech conference. The workshop, graciously hosted at the offices of sound and music company Mophonics, was Wiredrive’s second workshop about media RSS (mRSS) integration since May’s Los Angeles event. In both events, Creative Director David Funkhouser and Web Developer Adam Portilla discussed how to power your website with Wiredrive media and credits. View all photos from the the event.

Wiredrive customers, web developers and others interested in learning more about mRSS enjoyed food and drinks on Mophonics’ Manhattan rooftop patio surrounded by stunning views of the city. Guests had the opportunity to mingle and exchange contact information before Dave Funkhouser began the presentation. He offered an overview of generating the mRSS link and how it can be used to access media and credits that can be integrated into a website.

The following websites are a few examples of businesses that use Wiredrive mRSS to power their media:

Adam Portilla followed with a demonstration of building a website from scratch and populating it with media from a Wiredrive presentation. The sample code used during the presentation is freely available in our guide to media RSS and serves as a good starting point for people interested in taking advantage of the feature.

Wiredrive New York office officially launched

After the workshop, Mophonics’ dj.sae.one spun records while guests helped Wiredrive cut the ribbon on their New York office. Staffed by Meghan Mackintosh and Abby Morgan, the New York office seeks to make Wiredrive more readily available to businesses on the east coast and Europe while offering digital workflow support to clients in those regions.
